ABOUT US

BUT IT'S NOT REALLY ABOUT US...

We are a community of everyday people growing in faith, learning to follow Jesus, and committed to living out His love, truth, and grace here in Las Vegas.

We come together on Sundays, but church is more than just a service—it's about building connections and growing in community. Whether you're new to faith, seeking belonging, or ready to take your next step, there's a space for you here.

We believe following Jesus is a lifelong journey—like apprenticing under Him—growing in relationship with Him, becoming more like Him, and making a meaningful impact in the world.

We’re here to demonstrate God’s love in practical, meaningful ways, with a vision for a city filled with kindness, justice, and joy. Our mission is simple: For the love of God and the good of the city.

In short, you’re always welcome here at LCTC.

WHY JESUS?

Jesus is the most transformative figure in history—not merely a teacher or prophet. He claimed to be more than just a wise man; He declared Himself to be God entering human history to reveal His true nature. His life was defined by radical love—embracing the marginalized, healing the broken, confronting injustice, and offering grace to those who least deserved it. But what made Jesus truly extraordinary wasn’t just how He lived—it was the purpose behind His coming.

Jesus didn’t arrive as an afterthought—He was part of God's plan from the very beginning. He came to bring God's kingdom to earth, reflecting heaven's values, not just to save individuals, but to restore all of creation and reconcile humanity with God's original purpose. He came to introduce a new way of living—one where love, justice, mercy, and truth are the foundation. In Jesus, we see not only who God is but also the fullness of who we were always meant to be.

At the heart of Christianity is the truth, as Tim Keller puts it: “We are more flawed than we ever dared admit, yet more loved than we ever dared imagine.” Jesus came to bridge the divide between humanity and God—not by demanding we fix ourselves, but by stepping into our place. On the cross, He took on the world's brokenness, offering forgiveness, freedom, and a new way of living in return. And by rising from the dead, He showed us that death doesn't have the final say.

Following Jesus isn’t about following rules or religion—it’s about having a relationship with the One who created us, knows us, and loves us more than we can imagine. Jesus didn’t just come to bring us to heaven; He came to bring heaven into us. His invitation is open to all:

Come as you are, but don’t stay as you are.

A new life is waiting for you.
